Tracker 2WD L4-1.6L VIN 6 (2000)
1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure.
2. Disconnect the J34730-1A fuel pressure gauge from the J41041 fuel pressure gauge adapter. Use a shop towel in order to catch any remaining fuel
that may leak.
3. Disconnect the J41041 fuel pressure gauge adapter from the fuel rail. Use a shop towel in order to catch any remaining fuel that may leak.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
4. Install the fuel rail plug bolt (1) and a new gasket to the fuel rail.
Tighten
Tighten the plug bolt to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Turn ON the ignition in order to pressurize the fuel system.
7. Turn OFF the ignition.
8. Check for any fuel leaks and repair as necessary.
