1. Inspect the accelerator control cable for 10 to 15 mm (0.4 to 0.6-in) of end play.
2. Loosen the adjusting nut and the cable locknut at the throttle body unit.

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. With the throttle pedal fully depressed, check the clearance (3) between the cable stop (1) and the cable housing (2). The clearance should be 

0.8-1.5 mm (0.03-0.06 in).

Tighten
Tighten the accelerator cable locknut adjusting nut to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).
