Rear Door Hinge: Service and Repair
Hinge Replacement - Rear Door (Lower)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Open the front side door in order to gain access to the rear side door lower hinge bolts (2, 3).
2. Mark the position of the rear side door lower hinge (1) to the rear side door and the door jamb.
3. Remove the 2 bolts (3) which secure the lower hinge (1) to the door.
4. Remove the 2 bolts (2) which secure the lower hinge (1) to the door jamb.
5. Remove the lower hinge (1) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the rear side door lower hinge (1) to the vehicle by aligning the hinge with the marks made during the removal procedure. Secure the hinge

to the door jamb with the 2 bolts (2). Do not tighten fully at this time.

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the 2 bolts (3) which secure the lower hinge (1) to the door.

Tighten
Tighten the rear side door lower hinge bolts to 27 N.m (19 lb ft).

3. Close the front side door.
