Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair
Tail Pipe Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle.
2. Remove the following from the Front Pipe/Three-Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) assembly (2):

The two bolts
^
The two nuts
^
The muffler/tail pipe assembly (1)
3. Remove one bolt and hanger from the pipe at the muffler.
4. Remove one bolt and hanger from the muffler.
5. Remove two bolts and hangers (6) from the tail pipe.
6. Remove the muffler/tail pipe assembly (8-2 door), (7-4 door) from the vehicle.
7. Clean the seal mating surfaces.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: Install the muffler/tail pipe assembly hangers in their proper position.
