Clutch Coil Wire Retainer Bolt
6. One screw and clutch coil wire retainer.
7. Clutch coil snap ring, using snap ring pliers.
8. Clutch coil from compressor.
Inspect

Pressure plate for excessive wear and scoring. Replace if necessary.

Clutch pulley for excessive wear and scoring. Replace if necessary.
Measuring Clutch Coil Resistance
Measure
^
Clutch coil resistance using tool J 39200. Replace clutch coil if not withing specifications: -Resistance: 2.9-3.8 ohms at 20°C (68°F).
Install or Connect
1. Clutch coil to compressor; secure with snap ring, using snap ring pliers.
2. Clutch coil wire retainer to compressor; secure with one screw.
Tighten

Clutch coil wire retainer bolt to 2-2.5 N.m (17.7 to 22.12 lbs.ft).
3. Clutch pulley to compressor; secure with snap ring and shim.
4. Pressure plate to compressor drive shaft.
