Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the accelerator control cable (1) from the accelerator pedal (2).
2. Push the accelerator control cable through the bulkhead grommet.
3. Disconnect the accelerator control cable from the throttle lever (3) by loosening the cable locknut and adjusting the nut.
4. Remove the accelerator control cable from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Connect the accelerator control cable to the throttle lever.
2. Secure the accelerator control cable with the cable locknut and the adjusting nut. Do not tighten fully.
3. Push the accelerator control cable through the bulkhead grommet.
4. Connect the accelerator control cable to the accelerator pedal.
5. Adjust cable, refer to Adjustments.
