Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Front Suspension
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. On ABS equipped vehicles, remove the one bolt and the wheel speed sensor harness from the strut.
4. Remove the E-clip that secures the brake hose.
5. Remove the brake hose from the strut.
6. Support the control arm (1) with a floor jack (2).
7. Remove the two strut-to-steering knuckle bolts (1) and nuts (3).
8. Remove the strut from the knuckle.
