9. Lower the vehicle to allow access to the strut upper support nuts.
10. Remove the three strut upper support nuts.
11. Remove the strut from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the strut to the vehicle. Secure the strut with three support nuts. Do not tighten fully.
NOTICE: Always use the correct fastener in the proper location. When you replace a fastener, use ONLY the exact part number for that
application. The manufacturer will call out those fasteners that require a replacement after removal. The manufacturer will also call out the
fasteners that require thread lockers or thread sealant. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, do not use supplemental coatings (paints, greases, or
other corrosion inhibitors) on threaded fasteners or fastener joint interfaces. Generally, such coatings adversely affect the fastener torque and joint
clamping force, and may damage the fastener. When you install fasteners, use the correct tightening sequence and specifications. Following these
instructions can help you avoid damage to parts and systems.
2. Install the strut to the steering knuckle. Secure the strut with two bolts and nuts.

Tighten the strut-to-steering knuckle bolts and nuts to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.).

Tighten the strut upper support nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove the floor jack.
4. Install the brake hose to the strut. Secure with an E-clip.
5. On ABS equipped vehicles, install the wheel speed sensor harness to the strut. Secure the harness with one bolt.
Tighten the wheel speed sensor harness bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
6. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
7. Lower the vehicle.
