Information on GM Accessory All-Weather Floor Mat Retention Hole Fit

2008-2009 Buick Enclave

When installing GM Accessory all-weather floor mats, the technician may find that the mats have different shaped retention holes that will not fit on the
retention anchors on the vehicle floor. The retention holes on some accessory all-weather floor mats are round, while the floor mat retention anchors on
the floors of some vehicles are oval shaped. The difference in the shapes does not allow for a perfect fit.
There are three acceptable options available for the customer:

Return the floor mats and wait for the newly designed floor mats to be available.

Place the mats on top of the floor mat retention anchors on the vehicle's floor.
Note:
The traction ribs on the underside of the floor mats and its custom shape adequately secures the mat in its established position.

Stretch the flexible, round floor mat hole onto its respective oval shaped floor mat retention anchor.
Note:
Doing this will not damage the floor mat or its respective retention anchor.
