Open the hood.

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
5.
Remove the hood cable retaining clip near the 1PM.

Using a flat bladed tool, depress the four locking tabs on the side of the 1PM to release it from it's mount (Fig. 1).

Viewing the 1PM from the bottom, disconnect the white, 15 way C8 connector from the IPM.

Locate cavity 15 of the C8 connector (Fig. 2).
9.
Insert the male terminal gauge, supplied in the parts kit for the body wiring harness repair, into cavity 15 of connector C8.
10.
Does the male terminal gauge fit loosely in cavity 15?
a.
Yes >>> proceed to Step # 1 of: IPM CONNECTOR REPAIR PROCEDURE below.
b.
No >>> continue with Step # 11.
11.
Connect the White C8 connector to the IPM.
12.
Position 1PM into place, and lock into position.
13.
Install the hood cable retaining clip.
