Torque Strut - Installation

Upper

UPPER

1. Position the upper torque strut (6) into mounting location.
2. Move torque strut aside (towards right fender) and install timing belt front upper cover (if A/C equipped).
3. Install the torque strut mounting bolts and perform the torque strut adjustment procedureSee: Adjustments.

Lower

INSTALLATION - LOWER

1. Position lower torque strut (5) into mounting locations.
2. Install mounting bolts and perform torque strut adjustment procedureSee: Adjustments.
3. Install pencil strut and tighten nuts to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.).
