7. Remove bolt attaching turning loop to belt adjuster.
8. Remove upper B-pillar trim See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Pillar Trim/B-Pillar Trim.
9. Remove access cover from B-pillar trim.
10. Disengage clips attaching trim to B-pillar.
11. Feed seat belt turning loop and seat belt through trim panel.
12. Disconnect electrical connector.
13. Remove the webbing mid guide two screws.
14. Remove lower B-pillar trim from vehicle.
15. Remove front seat belt retractor.
Front Seat Belt Retractor - Installation
INSTALLATION
WARNING: Front seat belt assemblies must be replaced after a collision.
1. Place front seat belt retractor into position.
2. Position lower B-pillar trim panel near B-pillar.
3. Install the two screws to the webbing mid guide.
4. Connect electrical connector.
5. Feed seat belt turning loop and seat belt through trim panel.
6. Align locating pins on backside of trim panel to mating holes in B-pillar.
7. Push clips on trim panel into slots in B-pillar See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Pillar Trim/B-Pillar
Trim.
8. Install access cover to B-pillar trim.
9. Place seat belt webbing anchor (3) into position on the seat cushion frame (4) and install the bolt (2). Tighten to 47 Nm (34.5 ft. lbs.).
10. Install the side shield/cover (1) to the seat belt anchor (3).
11. Install bolt attaching turning loop to belt adjuster. Tighten bolt to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
12. Move height adjuster to the lowest position.
13. Install upper B-pillar trim.
14. Install shoulder belt height control knob.
15. Install the plastic turning loop cover.
WARNING: Do not connect the battery negative cable. Serious or fatal injury may result if the system test is not performed first.
Rear Center Seat Belt Retractor - Removal
REMOVAL
1. Detach Quick Connect Anchor by depressing tab.
2. Remove seat bezel.
3. De-trim seat back upper See: Body and Frame/Seats/Seat Back/Service and Repair/Seat Back Cover - Removal.
