Rear Disc Brake Rotor/Disc And Caliper Service

REMOVAL

1. Drain the brake fluid.
2. Follow the procedure in the above image.

CHECKING BRAKE DRAG

1. Measure hub torque to obtain value (A) with pads removed to measure brake drag torque. Torque value will be used later to calculate brake drag

force with the pads installed.

NOTE:  Tighten the nuts in order to secure the disc to the hub.

2. Securely attach the pad clip to the caliper support.

3. Clean piston and insert into cylinder (caliper) with special tool.
4. Be careful that the piston boot does not catch and tear as the caliper assembly and lock pin are installed.
5. Check brake drag torque as follows.
