Sebring V6-2.5L VIN N (1997)
3. Apply Mopar (R) ATF PLUS (Automatic transmission fluid type 7176)/Automatic transmission Fluid "DEXRON II" to housing, bearing and
oil seal press fitting surface.
4. Press fit needle roller bearing with special tools.
CAUTION: Press fit straight as valve housing is aluminum.
5. Use special tools to install ball bearings.
6. Apply a coating of Mopar (R) ATF PLUS (Automatic transmission fluid type 7176)/Automatic transmission Fluid "DEXRON II" to the
outside of the oil seal and O-ring.
7. Use special tool to press fit oil seal until touches rack bush end.
8. Apply a coating of Mopar (R) Multi-mileage Lubricant Part No. 2525035 or equivalent to the rack teeth face.
CAUTION: Do not grease the vent hole in the rack.
9. Cover rack serrations with special tool.
10. Apply Mopar (R) ATF PLUS (Automatic transmission fluid type 7176)/Automatic transmission Fluid "DEXRON II" on special tool.
11. Match oil seal centre with rack to prevent retainer spring from slipping and slowly insert rack from power cylinder side.
