Sebring Convertible V6-2.7L Flex Fuel (2008)
1. Slide the screw drive rod into the linkage bracket.
2. Install the C-clip on the top or pivot of the screw drive rod. This is located directly to the left of the (1) call out arrow.
3. Position the lower end of the screw drive into the linkage and install the roll pin into the lower end of the screw drive assembly. The roll pin is
right by the (6) call out bubble.
CAUTION: Should the tonneau screw drive assembly side to side timing become off (i.e. only one cable is faulty) it will be necessary to reset the
screw drive timing. Refer to STEP 4. If screw drive is not out of timing, go directly to STEP 5.
4. To Reset The Screw Drive Timing:
a. Using the square drive end of the broken cable (2) and a variable speed drill motor, drive the screw drive assemblies to the tonneau fully
extended position.
b. Clamp the broken cable end into the drill motor chuck.
c. Put the cable end into the drive slot (3) and slowly drive the screw drive assemblies to the tonneau fully extended position making sure not to
bind the cable when the drive reaches the stop.
d. Remove the broken cable end and used for re-timing and install the good cable end by aligning the square cable end (2) in the screw drive (5)
and firmly snap into place until the tabs (1) fully seat into (4).
5. install the cable end by aligning the square cable end (2) in the screw drive (5) and firmly snap into place until the tabs (1) fully seat into (4).
