Brake Pedal Assy: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the screws that hold the trim panel to the instrument panel.
2. Remove the trim panel.
3. Remove the stoplamp switch.
4. Disconnect the retaining ring, the pin, and the spring from the pushrod/brake pedal connection.
5. Remove the pedal mounting shaft and the nut.
6. Remove the brake pedal, exposing the brake booster pushrod and the pedal-to-dash panel bracket.
7. Remove the brake pedal cover.
Installation Procedure
1. Install a new brake pedal cover, if needed.
2. Coat the pedal shaft with grease.
