Parking Brake Lever: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure
NOTICE: If the parking brake lever is bent or damaged, or if a new grip is required, replace the complete parking brake lever assembly.
1. Remove the center console.
2. Release the parking brake.
3. Measure and record the length of the exposed adjustment threads.
4. Remove the adjustment nut from the parking brake cable.
5. Raise and support the vehicle to allow access to the underbody area.
6. Remove the rubber exhaust system hangers from their brackets.
