7. Remove the heat shield nuts which fasten the heat shield above the front muffler.
IMPORTANT: To avoid burns, let the exhaust system cool before removing the exhaust system hangers from their brackets.
8. Slide the heat shield forward to expose the parking brake equalizer.
9. Remove the cables from the equalizer.
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Remove the screw which attaches the parking brake switch to the parking brake lever assembly.
12. Unfasten the parking brake lever bolts and remove the parking lever assembly.
