Ash Tray: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the shift lever trim panel.
3. Remove the screws and the ashtray housing.
4. Disconnect the ashtray electrical connector.
5. Remove the cigar lighter.
6. Remove the ashtray lamp. 

Installation Procedure

1. Install the ashtray lamp. 
2. Install the cigar lighter. 
3. Connect the ashtray electrical connector.
4. Install the screws and the ashtray housing.

Tighten
Tighten the ashtray housing screws to 2.5 Nm (22 lb.in).

5. Install the shift lever trim panel.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
