Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) is located behind the kick panel, on the left side of the car. It is inside a plastic holding fixture with a
hinged door on the bottom. That door has a latch that passes through a loop in the bottom of the side piece of the holding fixture.
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the left-side kick panel.
3. Raise the retainer latch, pull back the holder, drop the retainer, and slide the EBCM down from its holding fixture.
4. Disconnect the EBCM electrical connectors and remove the EBCM from the vehicle.
