Negative Battery Cable
1.
Disconnect the battery ground cable from the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
2.
Removal of air conditioner compressor. (Air conditioner equipped vehicle only).
Radiator And Fan
(a) Drain coolant and remove the radiator with the cooling fan.
A/C Idler
(b) Remove the air conditioner belt by loosening the lock nut and tension adjusting bolt of the air conditioner idler pulley.
(c) Remove the two attaching bolts of the air conditioner idler pulley assembly. Then, remove the air conditioner idler pulley assembly.
Securing Compressor With Wire
(d) Remove the mounting bolts of the air conditioner compressor. Hang the compressor at the condenser side, using a wire.
NOTE:

Be very careful not to damage the condenser by the air conditioner compressor.

Make sure that no undue force is applied to the hose connected to the air conditioner compressor. Failure to observe this caution could
cause Freon gas leakage.
