NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH GASOLINE ENGINES AND MULTI PORT FUEL INJECTION (1992 - 3.9L AND
5.2L ENGINES, 1993 - ALL GASOLINE ENGINES).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
**Buzzing noise or resonance which occurs between 1500-2500 RPM. The noise can usually be isolated to the rear of the vehicle.**
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves installing tailpipe and hangers.
1.
Remove the tailpipe assembly.
2.
Remove the rear muffler hanger.
3.
Remove the tailpipe hanger.
4.
Remove the tailpipe hanger bracket from the frame by removing the weld using a die grinder or suitable tool. Do not cut the weld using
Oxy-Acetylene equipment. Remove any remaining weld with a grinder to provide a smooth surface.
