The turn signal flasher on involved vehicles will not provide a bulb outage indication as required by FMVSS # 108 if a bulb fails. This results from
installation of a 2 bulb flasher in a 3 bulb system. To correct the condition the proper flasher for this application must be installed.
Important:
Some of the involved vehlcles may still be in dealer stock. Be sure to complete the service on these vehicles before retail delivery.
Flashers are being mailed directly to owners of involved vehicles for them to install. If preferred, they may request free installation by their dealers.

No videotape of the service procedure will be provided for this recall because it is not considered necessary.
Vehicle List, Parts, Owner Information
Vehicle List
Each dealer to whom involved vehicles were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same location) will receive a vehicle list with this letter arranged in
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) sequence. Owners known to Chrysler are also listed. The lists are for dealer reference in arranging for service of
involved vehicles as applicable.
Each Dodge or Chrysler-Plymouth dealer without a Vehicle List will receive an information copy of this letter by Compak Mail for use in performing the
service on involved vehicles upon request.
Parts
Required turn signal flashers are being mailed directly to owners known to Chrysler for installation by them, or by dealers if the owners prefer. For
vehicles in dealer stock or service of other involved vehicles, order flasher PN 4565012 at dealer cost as needed.
No parts will be pre-shipped to dealers for this recall. Parts must be supplied by the owners or ordered as needed.
Owner Notification and Service Scheduling
All involved vehicle owners known to Chrysler are being notified of the service requirement by first class mail. The notification letter provides
instructions for installation of the enclosed flasher by the owner. If dealer installation is preferred, owners are instructed to make appointments with their
dealers for the free service. A copy of the owner notification letter is attached.

Enclosed with each owner notification is an Owner Recall Notification Form. The involved vehicle and recall are identified on the form for owner or
dealer reference as needed.
