Fuel Pressure Dampener

Remove the fuel rail retainer bracket screw.

Using two open-end wrenches, one on the fuel rail hex and the other on the return tube nut, loosen the tube nut. (If two wrenches aren't used,
damage will occur to the fuel rail tubes.
WARNING: Place a shop towel around the fuel pressure dampener so that any spilled fuel will be absorbed.
8.
Remove fuel pressure dampener.
INSTALLATION
1.
Insert the fuel return tube nut into the fuel rail hex and tighten finger tight.

Insert the fuel rail return tube into the fuel rail retainer bracket. Torque the retainer bracket screw to 35 lb-in (4 Nm).
3.
Torque the fuel return tube nut to 250 lb-in (28 Nm).
NOTE: Use two wrenches to tighten the fuel return tube nut, one to hold the fuel rail hex and the other to tighten the fuel return tube nut.
