Wheels and Tires: Adjustments
Fig. 2 Front Suspension Height Measuring Points. 4 Wheel Drive Models
Fig. 2 Lower control arm and torsion spring. 4 wheel drive models
NOTE: Check front suspension height before aligning front end.
1. Ensure tire pressure is correct, gas tank is full and there is no load in vehicle.
2. Clean dirt off bottom side of lower control arm.
3. Jounce vehicle several times to settle suspension. Ensure bumper moves up and down at least 4 inches during operation.
4. Check front suspension height by measuring two points at lower control arm. Front suspension height measurement is the difference between the
two measurements. Correct measurement is 1.25 inches.
5. If measurement is not as specified, adjust by rotating the rear torsion bar anchor adjusting bolt as necessary. After each adjustment, repeat step 3
and repeat measurement. Both sides must be measured even though one side has been adjustment.
6. Front suspension height should not vary more than 1/4 inch from specifications and be within 1.4 inches side to side.
