Resonator: Service and Repair
Removal
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air inlet hose See: Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair/Air Cleaner Body - Removal.
3. Disconnect the engine wire harness connector from the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor located on the passenger side of the resonator (2) See:

4. Remove the two bolts (1) that secure the resonator to the two resonator mounting brackets (4) located on the top of the engine.
5. Pull the resonator forward to disconnect it from the throttle body (5).
6. Tilt and rotate the resonator as necessary to remove it from the engine compartment.
7. If required, remove the two bolts (3) that secure the resonator mounting brackets to the top of the engine and remove the brackets.
8. If required, remove the IAT sensor from the resonator See: Computers and Control Systems/Intake Air Temperature Sensor/Service and
