Cinch the tie strap just tight enough to retain the hood release cable but not so tight that it deforms or puts tension on the cable.

Make sure the release pawl spring is fully seated after the tie strap is in place.

Using side cutters, trim the excess length of the tie strap.

Using the reference marks created in Step 1, position the hood latch on the radiator closure panel crossmember. Ensure the bottom edge of the
hood latch is secured around the latch bracket (Figure 4). Then, install the bolts attaching the hood latch to the radiator closure panel crossmember.

9.

Close the hood and check the operation of the hood latch release. Adjust the hood latch as necessary.
