Remove the three screws that secure the lower edge of the steering column opening cover to the lower instrument panel reinforcement (Figure 3).

Using a trim stick, disengage the snap clip retainers from the receptacles in the instrument panel by gently prying the upper edge of the steering
column opening cover away from the instrument panel. Pry on the cover just below the instrument cluster bezel on each side of the steering
column.
10.
Remove the steering column opening cover from the instrument panel.
11.
Remove the four screws that secure the lower reinforcement to the instrument panel (Figure 4).
