Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Description and Operation
The rear suspension system uses multi-leaf single stage springs and a solid drive axle. The front of the springs are mounted to frame rail brackets. The
rear of the springs are attached to frame brackets by the use of shackles. The springs and shackles use rubber bushings to isolate road noise. The shackles
allow the springs to change their length as the vehicle moves over various road conditions.
