Grand Caravan FWD V6-3.3L VIN 3 Flex Fuel (2002)
On RS premium vehicles, the EVIC 0/H console will be available for those equipped with right and left power sliding doors and/or power liftgate. Also,
the EVIC console with right and left power sliding doors is a new version.
On all RS/RG vehicles equipped with an 0/H console, the LED light has been re-positioned to better illuminate the I/P cupholders and front portion of
the center removable console. A brighter LED to provide enhanced illumination was a running change in the October time frame.
On RS vehicles equipped with an EVIC 0/H console, TPMS (tire pressure monitoring) feature has been added. The console EVIC displays a message it a
tire's pressure is too low or high. For more details, refer to the TPMS section in this document.
On RG diesel vehicles equipped with an 0/H console, the service interval maximum has been changed to 20,000 km to increase customer satisfaction.
For 2001 MY, the service interval maximum was 12,000 km. Refer to the Owner's Manual and/or Service Manual for additional information.
On RS vehicles equipped with an 0/H console, the mounting screw/washer located in the storage bin has been changed to a Phillips head from a torx
head type. This was done to aid Manufacturing. In addition, the storage bin foam divider has been removed for added flexibility.
INTERIOR LAMPS
On RS lowline vehicles, the front header reading/courtesy lamp and the switchable mid-dome lamp are no longer standard, but is optionally available as
part of the Overhead Light Group.
On RS lowline and highline vehicles, only a single liftgate lamp is available on the passenger side with a color keyed trim plug used on the driver side.
Two lamps were offered in 2001 MY RS and will continue only for the premium and luxury models.
The Light Package has been restructured for RS. This includes an Overhead Light Group (front header lamp and switchable mid dome lamp) and a
Courtesy Light Group (illuminated vanity sun visors and glove box lamp).
Note:
The halo ignition key light has been eliminated for 2002 MY RS/RG.
For lowline vehicles without a power mirror switch, the nomenclature on the headlamp switch will not be lit at night. This will be a running change.
Automatic Temperature Control Lighting - The ATC head electronic display illumination level will be adjusted. This was a running in mid October.
Radio Lighting - The electronic display illumination level is adjusted for daytime conditions. The amber LED's for the equalizer (bass-mid-treble)
adjustment buttons of the radio are eliminated.
12 VOLT OUTLET
On RS lowline vehicles, the lower I/P console 12 volt outlet has been eliminated and replaced with a black colored plug.
On vehicles equipped with the center removable console, the spring loaded flip cover has been replaced with a tethered cover for this 12-V outlet.
SMOKER'S PACKAGE
The Smoker's Package will now only be available through Mopar.
FRONT DOOR REFLECTOR
The front door reflectors have been eliminated due to the deletion of the HVAC ducts in the front doors.
