2. Inspect the fuel filler close out housing (Fig 1).

3. Is the housing dislodge at any tabs?

a. Yes >> continue to Step # 6

b. No >> continue to Step # 4

4. Pull out on the fuel filler close out housing 3 to 4 times with moderate force.

5. Did the fuel filler close out housing dislodge at any tabs?

a. Yes >> continue to Step # 6

b. No >> Return vehicle to Customer or Inventory.

6. Remove the fuel filler close out housing by depressing the remaining tabs and pulling out the housing (Fig 1).

NOTE: 

Spraying the rubber with soapy water will aid in removal.

7. Are any of the Tabs broken?

a. Yes >> Replace the fuel filler close out housing. It still may be necessary to filing some material off of the tab(s) on the new housing that will not

lock into place.

b. No >> continue to Step # 8
