Clutch Pedal Assembly: Service and Repair
CLUTCH PEDAL
REMOVAL
1. Remove kneeblocker for access to pedal pivot shaft.
2. Remove clutch master cylinder pushrods from the pedal (Fig. 11).
3. Remove brake lamp switch and discard.
4. Remove clip securing booster push rod to brake pedal.
5. Remove pedal pivot shaft C-clip.
6. Push pedal pivot shaft toward driver side of support enough to remove clutch pedal.
INSTALLATION
1. Inspect bushings in clutch and brake pedals. Replace bushings if worn, cracked or distorted.
2. Lubricate pedal shaft, pedal shaft bore and all bushings with Mopar Multi Mileage or high temperature bearing grease.
3. Position pedals in support.
4. Slide pedal shaft through pedals/support and install shaft retainer.
5. Secure push rods to clutch and brake pedals.
6. Install new brake lamp switch in bracket and adjust switch.
7. Install kneeblocker.
