Wheel Bearing: Adjustments
Fig. 7 Wheel Bearing Assembly
1. Raise and support rear of vehicle.
2. Torque adjusting nut to 270 inch lbs. while rotating wheel.
3. Stop wheel and loosen adjusting nut.
4. Tighten adjusting nut finger tight. End play should be 0.001 - 0.003 inch.
5. Install castle lock with slots aligned with cotter pin hole.
6. Install cotter pin and grease cap.
