Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
Front Spring - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the left front wheel.
3. Remove the left side strut See: Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service and Repair/Front Strut / Shock/Removal.
4. Remove the left side outer tie rod end and shield from the knuckle See: Steering/Tie Rod/Tie Rod End/Service and Repair/Tie Rod End - Removal

5. Remove the left side steering knuckle See: Front Steering Knuckle/Service and Repair/Front Steering Knuckle - Removal.

6. Remove the left side upper spring stop plate (1) See: Front/Upper Spring Stop Plates/Removal.

7. Remove the left side lower control arm (3) See: Control Arm/Service and Repair/Front Lower Control Arm - Removal.

NOTE: To avoid damaging the transverse leaf spring, cushion the pad on the jack accordingly.

8. Install a jack stand on the outer edge of the spring to apply spring pressure in order to remove the lower spring clamp plate (2).
9. Remove the left side lower spring clamp plate (2) See: Front/Lower Spring Clamp Plates/Removal.

10. Loosen the jack stand to remove the spring pressure.

11. Loosen the right side upper spring stop plate bolts (2).
