3. Apply Mopar Engine RTV GEN II at the camshaft cap corners and at the top edges of the 1/2 round seal (Fig. 41).
NOTE: Inspect cylinder head cover fastener seal washers. Replace as necessary.
4. Install cylinder head cover assembly to cylinder head. Install all fasteners, ensuring the double ended studs are in their proper location. Tighten
fasteners in sequence shown in (Fig. 42). Using a 3 step torque method as follows:
a) Tighten all bolts to 4.5 Nm (40 inch lbs.).
b) Tighten all bolts to 9.0 Nm (80 inch lbs.).
c) Tighten all bolts to 12 Nm (105 inch lbs.).
5. Install nut securing coolant return line bracket to cylinder head cover stud (Fig. 38).
6. Clip wiring harness to cylinder head cover studs (Fig. 37).
7. Install ignition coil and connect spark plug wires. Tighten ignition coil fasteners to 12 Nm (105 inch lbs.) (Fig. 37).
8. Connect ignition coil connector.
9. If the PCV valve was removed from cylinder head cover, apply Mopar Thread Sealant with Teflon to threads and install valve to cylinder head
cover. Tighten PCV valve to 8 Nm (70 inch lbs.).
10. Connect PCV and make-up air hoses to cylinder head cover (Fig. 37).
11. Connect negative battery cable.
