Locate the fuel return hose near the right front corner of the fuel tank (Figure 1).

Inspect the date code printed on the return hose (Figure 1).

If the date code is 0710, the return hose must be replaced. Continue with Section B - Replace Fuel Return Hose.

If the date code is NOT 0710, no further action is required. Lower the vehicle and return it to the customer.
B. Replace Fuel Return Hose
NOTE:
Only those vehicles that have a fuel return hose with a 0710 date code as determined by the inspection in Section A require return hose replacement.
Very few vehicles are expected to require fuel return hose replacement.

Lower the vehicle.
2.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
NOTE:
To enhance customer satisfaction, remember to reset the clock when you have completed the service procedure.

Pull the two (2) release tabs and then remove the rear seat cushion (Figure 2).
4.
Remove the fuel pump module access cover (Figure 3).
5.
Disconnect the two (2) fuel pump module electrical connectors.
