Viper GTS V10-8.0L VIN E (1999)
1. Install a NEW corrosion prevention gasket on the hub/bearing before installing it in the steering knuckle.
2. Install the front hub/bearing in the steering knuckle. Align the holes in the corrosion gasket with holes in hub/bearing and steering knuckle.
3. Install the 3 bolts mounting the hub/ bearing to the steering knuckle. Tighten the 3 bolts mounting the hub/bearing to the steering knuckle to a
torque of 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the brake rotor on the hub/bearing.
5. Install the brake caliper on the steering knuckle.
6. Install the brake caliper attaching bolts and tighten to a torque of 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.).
7. Align the brake hose bracket with the hole in steering knuckle. Install the hub/bearing mounting bolt. Tighten the attaching bolt to a torque of 61
Nm (45 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the wheel and tire assembly. Tighten the wheel mounting stud nuts in proper sequence until all nuts are torqued to half specification. Repeat
the tightening sequence to the full specified torque of 122 Nm (90 ft. lbs.).
9. Lower the vehicle.
