Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Description and Operation
CIRCUIT OPERATION
The hood switch is a combination unit used for the underhood lamp and the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS). Circuit G70 connects from the
Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module to the hood switch. The switch is normally OPEN.
When the hood is OPENED the switch CLOSES completing a path to ground through circuit Z1. When the system is ARMED and the RKE
module sees the hood is open it activates the alarm.
