Muffler: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Apply penetrating. oil to muffler band clamps and loosen clamp.
3. Remove bolts from the two rear muffler isolators.
4. Remove muffler.
INSTALLATION
1. Insert muffler into intermediate pipe. Do not tighten band clamp at this time.
2. Install two rear muffler isolator and torque bolts to 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.).
3. Tighten muffler band clamps to 70 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
