Align the mating edges and protect them with a weldable primer.

7. Adjustment

Present the elements, allowing for adjustment.

Check the fits and clearances (see the relevant operation).

8. Welding

Weld using successive beads (MIG or MAG).

Grind the welds.

Weld with plug welds (MIG or MAG) (at "b").

Grind the spot welds.

Weld with electric spot welds (at "a").
