3. Cleaning

Install the handles [1e] at each end of the cutting wire [1d].

Pass the cutting wire [1d] as indicated on the diagram (Behind the window).

CAUTION : 2 operators are necessary to carry out the following operations.

Cut the bead of adhesive by means of a to-and-fro movement of the cutting wire [1d].

When cutting, the indexing pins must be cut.

N.B. : The indexing pins are not necessary for refitting.

Remove : The rear door window (2); Using the double hinged suction cups [6].

3. Cleaning

3.1. Preparation : Rear door window

Reuse of the rear door window :

• Fit the electric knife [2] with the blade [3]
• Remove the adhesive sealing bead
• Remove any dust using a clean cloth

CAUTION : Only apply the primer to the zones laid bare.

Fitting of a new rear door window :

• Degrease the edge of the glass with the degreaser
• Apply the glass primer provided in the bonding kit part number "A3"

CAUTION : Only apply the primer to the zones laid bare.

3.2. Preparation of the aperture

On the remains of the bead of sealing adhesive :

• Fit the electric knife [2] with the blade [3]
• Remove the adhesive sealing bead
• Remove any dust using a clean cloth

On the new component :

• Degrease the aperture
• Apply the metal primer provided in the bonding kit part number "A3"
• Allow to dry for 10 mn
