The status of the disarming switch for the passenger airbag is activated in the on position, or de-activated in the off position, by means of the ignition key :

• The on position triggers the airbag in the case of a frontal impact
• The displaying of this function is enhanced for use by an indicator light on the instrument panel

3. Instructions for replacement of parts

The parts replaced will be deployed in the following cases :

• Parts to be destroyed
• Parts which have passed their validity date

CAUTION : Therefore, all warranty return parts required will be returned without being deployed.

4. Conditions for transporting explosive components

The packaging recovered from the replacement part must be used to transport the parts.

5. Repairability of the harness

The repair of all of the harnesses is permitted using strictly RAYCHEM welded unions observing the operating procedure.

Compulsory method of repair : Equipment (RAYCHEM).

CAUTION : Repair of the wires must be carried out with heat shrink sleeves and outer covers : [1228] kit.

Replace the generator connecting harness if the connector is damaged following triggering.

In the case of a module supplied with a harness, the whole will be replaced.
