Removing

Open the bonnet lid.

With the ignition key in the OFF position, disconnect the battery negative terminal.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine temperature sensor.

2. Undo the sensor and remove from the thermostat.

Refitting

Check sensor condition and electrical continuity.

Fit the sensor and tighten to the thermostat.

Connect the sensor's electrical connection.

Connect the battery's negative terminal.

Close the bonnet lid.
