Disassembly and Assembly

Disassembly
  1. Remove the selector lever knob.

  1. Remove the manual selector lever lock cover.
    • Push down the clip and remove the cover.

  1. Remove the selector lever lock upper and lower plunger and spring.

  1. Remove the selector lever cover.
    1. Detach the selector lever central electrical connector from the selector lever housing.
    1. Disconnect the selector lever lock solenoid and ignition key interlock switch electrical connector.
    1. Detach the selector lever cover from the selector lever housing (four clips).

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure the gear selector cover plate faces upwards.
    Remove the gear selector cover plate.

Assembly

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the cables are correctly installed.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Coat the thread of the selector lever knob bolt with thread locking compound.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
