Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Service and Repair

NOTE:  If valve tappets and roller rocker arms are to be reused, mark position of rocker arms and valve tappets to ensure they are assembled in original
positions.

REMOVAL

1. Remove rocker arms.
2. Remove valve tappets from cylinder heads, then inspect tappets. Replace tappets as necessary.

INSTALLATION

1. Lubricate valve tappets with suitable engine assembly lubricant, then install tappets to cylinder heads. Ensure valve tappets are installed in original

positions.

2. Install rocker arms.
