Fuel Line Coupler: Service and Repair
Spring Lock Coupler

REMOVAL

1. Perform the fuel pressure release procedure.  See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release   

CAUTION:  To prevent damage to the spring lock coupling, do not use a screwdriver or other sharp tool to remove the clip.

Fuel Tube Clip

2. Remove the fuel tube clip.
3. Twist the spring lock coupling fitting to free it from any adhesion at the O-ring seals.

4. Fit Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool D87L-9280-A (3/6 inch) or D67L-9280-B (1/2 inch) or equivalent to the spring lock coupling.

Disconnect Tool

5. Close the tool and push it into the open side of the cage to expand the garter spring and release the female fitting.
