Torque Converter: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLE 

1. Remove oil tube connector, then remove final drive gear retaining ring.
2. Lift final drive ring gear from converter housing, then remove differential lube tube bolt and tube.

ASSEMBLE 

2. Push differential lube tube into converter housing, then seat end of tube using lube tube replacer tool No. T94P-77000-V1 or equivalent. Install

bolt and tighten.

2. Lower final drive ring gear into housing and install retaining ring.

NOTE:  If gear does not fit easily into housing, turn it over.

3. Install oil tube connector on converter housing and tighten.
