Oil Filter Adapter (Trailer Tow and Police Option)
a. On trailer tow and police option equipped vehicles, disconnect the oil supply and return hoses from the oil cooler at the oil filter adapter.
b. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the oil pressure sensor.
c. Drain the cooling system.
d. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the oil filter adapter.
e. Remove the oil filter adapter retaining bolts, oil filter adapter and oil filter adapter gasket.

Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces of the oil filter adapter gasket and cylinder block.
