B4 - Check Circuit 1003 (GY/Y) Town Car, Circuit 640 (R/Y) Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis For Open

Disconnect ohmmeter lead from ground and connect lead to output side of fuse 13 (15A).

Is resistance 5 ohms or less?

YES

REPLACE Fuse 13 (15A). RESTORE system. RETEST vehicle.

NO

SERVICE circuit 1003 (GY/Y) Town Car, circuit 640 (RIY) Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle.
RETEST system. 

B5 - Check Supply Circuit 294 (W/LB) Town Car, Circuit 296 (W/P) Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis

-

Disconnect lighting control module.

-

Using an ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, connect second lead to pin C1-1, circuit 294 (W/LB) Town Car, circuit 296 (W/P) Crown
Victoria, Grand Marquis.

-

Check resistance.

Is resistance 5 ohms or less?

YES

SERVICE circuit 294 (W/LB) Town Car, circuit 296 (W/P) Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis for short to ground. REPLACE fuse 6 (15A).
RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

NO

GO to B6.

B6 - Check Circuit 294 (W/LB) Town Car, Circuit 296 (W/P) Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis For Open

-

Disconnect ohmmeter lead from ground and connect lead to output side of fuse 6 (15A).

Is resistance 5 ohms or less?

YES

REPLACE fuse 6 (15A). RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

NO

SERVICE 294 (W/LB) Town Car, circuit 296 (W/P) Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST
system.

B7 - Check For Chime Module Ground

Using an ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, alternately connect second lead to pin C3-4 and C3-9, circuit 676 (PK/O) Town Car,
circuit 57 (BK) Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis.

-

Check resistance.

Is resistance 5 ohms or less?

YES

REPLACE lighting control module. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

NO

SERVICE power and/or logic ground circuit 676 (PK/O) Town Car, circuit 57 (BK) Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis for open circuit.
RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

C - Seat Belt Warning Inop

Pinpoint Test C: Safety Belt Warning Inoperative

C1 - Check Safety Belt Switch Input

-

Unbuckle driver safety belt.

-

Using an ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, connect second lead to pin C2-17, circuit 85 (BR/LB) at lighting control module
connector.

-

Measure resistance.

Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
YES

GO to C2.

NO

SERVICE circuit 85 (BR/LB). RESTORE vehicle RETEST system.

C2 - Check Circuit 450 (BK/LG) Output At Module

-

Using a voltmeter connected to a known good ground, connect voltmeter to pin C3-8, circuit 450 (BK/LG) at lighting control module connector.

-

Turn ignition switch to the RUN position.
