NO
REPLACE lighting control module. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
C3 - Check Circuit 450 (BK/LG) Input At Instrument Cluster

Turn ignition switch OFF.
-
Connect voltmeter probe to pin C3-11, circuit 450 (BK/LG) electronic cluster, pin C1-10 conventional cluster at instrument cluster connector.
-
Turn ignition switch to the RUN position.
Is battery voltage present?
YES
REFER to Instrument Panel. See: Instrument Cluster / Carrier
NO
GO to C4.
C4 - Check Circuit 450 (BK/LG) For Open

Turn ignition switch OFF.
-
Disconnect lighting control module.
-
Using an ohmmeter, connect one lead to pin C3-8, circuit 450 (BK/LG) at module connector. Connect second lead to electronic instrument cluster
cennector pin C3-11, conventional instrument cluster connector, pin C1-10, circuit 450 (BK/LG).

Check continuity.
Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
YES
REFER to Instrument Panel. See: Instrument Cluster / Carrier
NO
SERVICE Circuit 450 (BK/LG) for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
D - Key In Ignition Warning Inop

D1 - Check Key In Ignition Input

Open driver door.
-
Using a jumper wire connected to a known good ground, connect other end of jumper to pin C1-3, circuit 158 (BK/PK) at lighting control module
connector.
Did lighting control module chime?
YES
GO to D2.
NO
REPLACE lighting control module. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
D2 - Check Circuit 158 (BK/PK) For Open

Disconnect lighting control module.
-
Disconnect ignition key warning switch at steering column.
-
Using an ohmmeter, connect one lead to pin C1-3, circuit 158 (BK/PK) at lighting control module connector. Connect second lead to circuit 158
(BK/PK) at ignition key warning switch connector.
-
Check continuity.
Is there continuity?
YES
REPLACE ignition key warning switch terminal and wire. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO
SERVICE Circuit 158 (BK/PK) for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
